About Us

The Pensacola Area Local is part of the world’s largest postal union, the American Postal Workers Union.  Since September 1, 1919 when its charter was issued, the Pensacola Local (now the Pensacola Area Local) has been serving postal workers (clerk, maintenance, and motor vehicle crafts) in northwest Florida, representing some 250 dues paying members in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties as well as Okaloosa County.  The Pensacola Area Local serves Pensacola, Cantonment, Century, Gonzalez, Gulf Breeze, Holt, Jay, Navarre, McDavid, Milton, Pace and Molino.

Through our National Union, the Pensacola Area Local is  affiliated with the AFL-CIO.  We are also a member of the APWU of Florida and the Postal Press Association and have a local chapter of the APWU Auxiliary.
